Safar Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
1. Introduction
Your privacy matters to us.
Safar is an astrology and tarot app, available on the web and as mobile apps, operated by TITA TECHNOLOGY SERVICES LTDA, a Brazilian company registered under CNPJ No. 55.209.026/0001-36 (“Tita,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
This Policy explains which personal data Safar collects, how it is used, stored, shared, and protected, and how you can exercise your rights.
We process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, particularly Brazil's General Data Protection Law (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados Pessoais — LGPD, Law No. 13,709/2018).
2. Data Controller and Contact Information
For the processing activities described in this Policy, Tita acts as the data controller, determining the purposes and essential means of processing personal data.

3. Personal Data We Collect
3.1. Account Data
Your name, email address, and password. The password is stored only in hashed form: not even we can see it.
3.2. Birth Data
The date, time, and city of birth you provide, plus the coordinates and time zone we derive from them. This data is needed to calculate your natal chart, transits, and your day.
3.3. Other People's Data
To create charts and synastries for other people, you may provide their first name and their date, time, and city of birth. Please only add someone else's data when you have their permission or another legitimate reason to do so.
3.4. WhatsApp Number
When you calculate a new chart using the form, you may optionally provide a WhatsApp number. If you do, it is stored with the chart. Safar currently does not send messages to this number and does not share it with third parties.
3.5. Conversations and Generated Content
The messages you send in the Safar chat and the answers generated, the tarot cards drawn, and the readings generated for your charts and your day.
Please do not send sensitive data in the chat (such as information about health, religion, or sexual orientation), or other people's data that isn't needed.
3.6. Preferences
Your chosen language and your notice and notification choices.
3.7. Technical Data
IP address, browser and device information, access dates and times, and error logs, generated automatically as the server runs.
3.8. Usage Data
Which Safar pages and features you use (for example, opening a chart, drawing a card, or sending a chat message), when, your language, and whether you used the website or the app. This data is linked only to a random identifier for your account and does not include your name, email, phone number, birth data, the text of your conversations, or your tarot questions.
3.9. Payments
Safar is currently free and does not collect payment data. If paid features are offered in the future, this Policy will be updated first.
4. How We Use Personal Data
We use personal data to:
- Create and authenticate your account and keep you signed in;
- Calculate natal charts, transits, synastries, and the day's sky;
- Generate readings, “Your day today,” and chat answers using artificial intelligence;
- Keep your history of charts, synastries, draws, and conversations so you can return to them;
- Send service communications, such as password reset links;
- Understand, in aggregate, how Safar is used, to fix problems and improve the service;
- Protect Safar against fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access, including through usage limits;
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations and exercise rights in legal proceedings.
5. Legal Bases for Processing
- Performance of a contract: to provide the services you use in Safar (account, charts, readings, chat, and history);
- Legitimate interests: for security, abuse prevention, and keeping the service working well, always compatible with your rights and reasonable expectations;
- Compliance with legal or regulatory obligations: for example, the record keeping required by Brazil's Internet Civil Framework (Marco Civil da Internet);
- Exercise of legal rights: to establish, exercise, or defend rights in judicial, administrative, or arbitration proceedings.
Safar does not ask for sensitive personal data. If you choose to include such information in the chat, it is processed only to answer your message, under the legal grounds of Article 11 of the LGPD.
6. Artificial Intelligence
Readings, “Your day today,” and chat answers are generated by Claude, an artificial intelligence model by Anthropic. To do this, we send Anthropic the data each request needs: the first name, the chart positions and birth data involved, and the chat messages.
Your data is not used to train artificial intelligence models, neither by Safar nor by Anthropic, which, under its commercial terms, does not use data received through its API to train its models.
Automatically generated answers may be inaccurate or incomplete. Astrology and tarot are offered for entertainment and self-reflection and are not a substitute for advice from qualified professionals.
Safar does not make decisions based solely on automated processing that affect your interests. You may still exercise your rights under the LGPD regarding automated processing.
7. Sharing Personal Data
Safar does not sell personal data, does not show advertising, does not track you across other websites or apps, and does not share data with commercial partners.
We share data only with the providers needed to run the service:
- Anthropic (United States): generating readings and chat answers;
- MongoDB Atlas (North America): the database that stores accounts, charts, readings, and conversations;
- Render (United States): hosting Safar's server and technical logs;
- PostHog (United States): usage analytics (the usage data described in section 3.8, without cookies or IP addresses);
- Google Places (United States): finding your city of birth as you type;
- OpenStreetMap Foundation (Nominatim): finding your city of birth when Google's search is not used;
- Email delivery provider: sending service emails, such as password resets.
We may also share data with public authorities where required or permitted by law.
8. International Data Transfers
The providers listed above store or process data outside Brazil, mainly in the United States. Data in every category described in section 3 may be transferred, to the extent each purpose requires, for as long as your account exists.
These transfers comply with the LGPD and ANPD Resolution CD/ANPD No. 19/2024 and rely on legally recognized mechanisms, such as the data protection contractual clauses adopted with these providers, which also maintain security measures such as encryption in transit and access controls.
9. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Safar uses a single cookie: the session cookie that keeps you signed in to your account. It is essential for the service to work, is sent only over secure connections (HTTPS), cannot be read by scripts, and lasts up to 180 days or until you sign out.
We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.
10. Data Storage and Retention
- Account, charts, synastries, draws, readings, and conversations: kept while your account is active. When you delete your account, this data is deleted immediately;
- Usage data: kept for our analytics provider's retention period. When you delete your account, the random identifier can no longer be associated with you;
- Password reset links: expire after 60 minutes and are deleted automatically;
- Technical logs and backups: kept for our hosting and database providers' retention periods and for any period required by law, then deleted.
11. Information Security
We apply technical and organizational safeguards proportionate to the data involved, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), passwords stored only as hashes, signing out other devices when a password changes, limits on repeated sign-in attempts, and rules that ensure each account can only access its own charts and conversations.
No information system is completely free from security risks. Where a security incident triggers a legal notification obligation, Tita will notify the relevant authorities and affected individuals as required by applicable law.
12. Your Privacy Rights
Under the LGPD, and subject to applicable legal conditions, you may:
- Confirm whether your personal data is being processed;
- Access your personal data;
- Correct incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data;
- Request anonymization, blocking, or deletion of unnecessary, excessive, or unlawfully processed data;
- Request data portability, where applicable;
- Obtain information about entities with which your data has been shared;
- Object to processing that does not comply with the LGPD;
- Submit complaints to Brazil's National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) and other competent authorities.
You can correct your birth data at any time in Profile. For other requests, write to vic@titaservices.com. We may ask for information to verify your identity, and requests will be handled within the timeframes set by law.
13. Account and Data Deletion
You can delete your account at any time in the app, under Profile › Settings › Delete account. Deletion immediately removes your account, profile, charts, synastries, draws, readings, and conversations.
You can also request deletion by emailing vic@titaservices.com. Technical logs may be kept for the period required by law.
14. Children and Minors
Safar is intended for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from children or adolescents. If we become aware of such processing, we will take appropriate measures consistent with applicable law and the minor's best interests.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect legal, technological, or operational changes to Safar. The latest version is always on this page, with its update date. Material changes will be communicated appropriately.
